Choosing the Right Path

Private or Communal Cremation

The biggest difference between the two options is whether you would like your pet's cremated remains returned to your family. Calm Paws Vet partners with Final Gift crematory for private and communal cremation.

No Ashes Returned

Communal Cremation

Your pet is cremated respectfully alongside other beloved pets. Because the cremated remains are together, individual ashes cannot be returned to your family.

  • Respectful communal cremation
  • Individual ashes are not returned
  • Ashes are spread at a designated peaceful memorial ground
  • An optional model magic paw print may be requested for an additional fee
Best for: Families who do not wish to keep ashes but want respectful professional aftercare.

Private Cremation Keepsakes

A Meaningful Way to Bring Your Pet Home

Families who choose private cremation receive their pet's cremated remains along with the keepsakes currently included in the Calm Paws Vet aftercare package.

  • Cremated remains returned in a rosewood urn with engraved name plate
  • Model magic paw print keepsake
  • Certificate of cremation

You may keep the urn as provided or choose another memorial option later. Some families keep ashes at home, while others eventually choose a meaningful place to scatter or memorialize them where permitted.

Communal Cremation

A Respectful Option Without Ashes Returned

Families who do not wish to receive cremated remains may choose communal cremation. Your pet is cremated respectfully alongside other pets, and individual ashes are not returned.

The communal cremated remains are spread at a designated peaceful memorial ground.

If you would still like a physical remembrance, an optional model magic paw print may be requested for a small additional fee.
