Comfort at Home

Why Families Choose In-Home End-of-Life Care

A familiar bed, a quiet room, the people who love your pet, and the comfort of home all matter at the end of life. In-home euthanasia removes the stress of the car ride and clinic environment and allows your pet to remain in the place that feels safest.

Calm Paws Vet uses a sedation-first protocol. Before any final medication is given, your pet receives a sedative so they can fall into a deep, comfortable sleep next to you.

What an In-Home Visit Looks Like

A Calm Paws Vet visit is intentionally unhurried. Dr. Labriola begins with quiet conversation, meets your pet on your pet’s terms, and confirms with you that the timing feels right. Only when you are ready does the visit move to sedation.

Children, other family members, and other pets in the household are welcome when appropriate. The pace is set by you.
