We are so grateful for Dr. Jake! His compassion and respect he gave our beloved boy Gutts brought us peace and love in our final moments together.

Dr. Jake has been incredible to Finn since day one. We were lucky to have him as Finn's vet for the past 3 years. He gave him his favorite treats, got on the floor with him and was gentle and patient to earn his trust. Finn never liked going to the vet, what animal does, but compared to how he acted at his previous vet's office, you can tell that he felt the care and warmth from Dr. Jake. We were so grateful that he was the one that was with us for Finn's last moments. The way he treated our best boy is something we will never forget.

Dr Jake was very warm and comforting to us. He saw Emma as a part of our family. Emma was calm and passed very peacefully. Dr Jake saw the love we had for Emma.

Dr. Labriola was extremely kind and caring throughout this difficult time. We are extremely grateful to him.

Although it is the most difficult time our family has ever had to navigate through we wanted to share our gratitude with everyone involved with this company. They have made this dark experience so much more pleasant and warmed our hearts with the way they cared. Brody was our first dog together, we've had other family dogs, but we agreed having it done this way is the only way. Dr. Jake will always have our deepest gratitude for assisting us and Maddie on one of the most difficult days of our lives. My husband and I are both so relieved that we decided to go the route of using Lap of Love, and we have spoken often over this last week about how gentle Dr. Jake was with Maddie and with us and how it was absolutely the best way to handle an otherwise terrible situation. I had been very worried about how Maddie would react to a stranger, and it brought me so much comfort to see that she loved and felt comfortable with Dr. Jake from the minute he walked in. Knowing that Maddie's last moments were happy and peaceful is such an incredible gift that Dr. Jake gave us and we can't thank him enough. Additionally, everyone that we spoke to at Lap of Love was extremely kind, thoughtful, and mindful of how difficult this time was for us. It's truly an amazing organization and we are so grateful that a place like this exists.

It took me a bit to write this. My Stanley was my baby. When we came to the conclusion that it was time I called Lap of Love. Dr. Jake arrived. My entire family was here. He was everything you would want in this situation, kind, empathetic, and he spoke to my children about what was to come. He walks you through the most awful part of this situation with grace and humanity. My baby passed in my arms and I couldn't have wanted anything different. It's been a month and I'm still tearing up as I write this. I can't say enough about how Dr. Jake via Lap of Love guided us through this.

Of all the pets that have blessed my life this is by far the most difficult. Maggie was my little girlfriend, always listened my troubles with intensity and provided unconditional love. There will forever be a hole in my heart. She has taken a piece that will never be replaced. As unconsolable as I was Dr Jake was calm, cool and professional. He provided comfort to my family that I was unable to do and for that I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Jake was so calm and supportive. Our other dog was immediately at ease with him and our beloved Cosmo did not feel threatened or stressed by someone new in our home. Dr. Jake was extremely understanding and answered all of our questions. It’s a tough decision to make but he assured us that we made the right choice. Our handsome boy was so loved and I feel grateful to know that he was surrounded by everyone that loved him and was comfortable in his own home as he passed.

Dr. Jake made this horrible day and made it feel beautiful. He also made us comfortable with our decision to put Tedi down before she was really sick. Because of him, my Tedi Blair passed in my arms with grace and dignity. Because of him Tedi never suffered. Thank You.

Whew. We are mourning something fierce. Today, after a relatively short bout with uncontrolled diabetes, we said goodbye to our beloved Finn. We knew we were doing the humane thing for him, but boy does it sting. Jake was an absolute professional who showed kindness, compassion and love during this very difficult time. I was grateful to be able to hold my boy as he crossed over the rainbow bridge.

On Sunday April 21st I lost my best friend, my 10 year old peek-a-poo Bentley Boo. I am absolutely thankful and feel so blessed that my cousin told me about Lap of Love. Just to know that our fur babies get to spend their last moments in our arms, where they feel the most loved and at their home where they feel their safest, was an immeasurable comfort. Dr Jake was so kind and respectful of the solemness of the moment. He in no way made me feel rushed nor unimportant. He also gave me so much time to let my boy go before he left with my baby boy. Dr Jake, you made the worst day of my life a bit easier, and I thank you so much as you will never know just how much I appreciate it.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Lap of Love. Dr. Jake was kind, patient, and caring. If you can choose this as an option, I highly recommend it. My baby crossed the rainbow bridge in the place he loved most, his home. Thank you so much for what you provided not only to my Tyson, but to me.

Dr Jake entered our home to help Matty with compassion and care. He listened to our stories and helped us through a very difficult decision. He allowed us to give Matty the most peaceful transition that we could in a way we believe he would have chosen for himself if he could. We are grateful for his care and assistance during our darkest day.
